the story of Flicker.
it is rice pudding season.. here's how i make mine..
5 cups milk (i use skim and it comes out just fine!)
1 cup basmati rice (use whichever rice you prefer)
1/3 cup sugar, plus a little bit more
1/4 teaspoon salt
cinnamon, nutmeg.. spices as you please
combine milk, rice, sugar, and salt in saucepan over high heat
until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil, stirring frequently. reduce heat to
medium-low and simmer uncovered, stirring frequently, until pudding is thick and rice
is tender. remove from heat. spoon servings into a bowl or small plate. sprinkle with spices, mix in, and enjoy!
